Rättvik and Lake Siljan with its vast waters lie before you, in a setting of bluetoned, forrestclad mountains. This is the typical silhouette of Dalarna (Dalecarlia).
Then you see "Långbryggan" (the pier) stretching far out to reach the little island and just behind it all lies Rättvik's church, chalky white, mirroring itself in the water of the bay.
